To Potato or Not To Potatoe
One potato, two potato, hot potato, cold potato
People count, describe, and make jokes about potatoes,
but they never ask how the potatoes are doing.

To those of you who are potay-towing through life:
Here Tomorrow
Life may seem like nothing more than a tunnel,
the opening: a few weeks into the future,
behind you: a place and time that has long since passed,
but today, tomorrow, and yesterday
are a blur of lights and sounds of people and things eager to escape
Some are forced to linger for a while,
as there are obstacles standing between today and tomorrow that they must face,
but these are trivial things that in a matter of time will no longer matter
As you sit there waiting in the warmth and comfort of your car,
your mind wanders to anything but the present
But look, the tunnel walls are beautiful
and the path ahead,
rain-slicked from cars that have traveled through and are continuing onward, awaits
There will be a time for you to leave this tunnel too,
but just know that even though the road may seem long
and there seems to be no end in sight,
if there is one thing life has tot me so far,
it is to not potate, but appreciate
because you, sir potato (or madam potato!), can wedge yourself out of any situation.
There is nothing in life that can stop you as long as you poutine your mind to it.
